Matt Cheney

Matt has worn many hats throughout his career—Home Theater sales and installer, small business owner, web site developer, and marketing strategist for authors. Following a decade as a stay-at-home dad, where he skillfully managed the household and cherished summers on two-month-long RV road trips with his boys, a friend opened his eyes to a new possibility: becoming a flight instructor.

Feeling the call to return to the workforce as his kids grew old enough to drive, Matt saw aviation as the perfect career to satisfy his craving for travel and adventure. In 2019, he embarked on his aviation journey, obtaining his Commercial and CFI licenses with ACES Flight School. Today, Matt is a full-time flight instructor, sharing his passion for the skies with aspiring aviators.

Cameron Good

Cameron grew up going to different air shows and dreamed of being a pilot. As he got older, life started to get in the way of chasing that dream. After bouncing around to several different full time jobs and serving active duty in the United States Marine Corps, he decided to follow that dream of being a pilot and started his aviation journey in 2021.

Cameron finished up his flight training as well as graduated from Liberty University early 2023 with a B.S in Aviation and Aeronautical Technology. Cameron is married with 3 kids and loves spending time with family and doing things outdoors. Cameron is a full-time flight instructor who has a passion for flying and teaching the next generation of pilots.

Brittany Franklin

I am from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I originally wanted to become a veterinarian when I was a kid until one day I saw the Blue Angels and ever since then I’ve had a passion to become a pilot. I worked as a ramp agent at KCHA and saved up money to start flight training 3 years ago at a small school. I then became an American Airlines Cadet and finished the rest of my ratings in Dallas, TX. I am the first generation pilot of my family. I also hope to do aerobatics some-time in my future.

Scott Melsha

Scott's passion for flying took off early when his dad introduced him to flight in a C-172. After graduating from ERAU with a BS in Professional Aeronautics while in the Air Force at McChord AFB, Scott began flight training. He earned his Private Pilot Certificate in 2005, the same year he got married and welcomed his first son, Andrew. Scott continued to earn his Instrument rating, Commercial certificate, and Multi-Engine rating in Tulsa, OK, and obtained his CFI from Blue Line Aviation in 2019. With over 850 hours of flight instruction, he has helped student pilots earn their Private and Commercial licenses. Scott has dedicated 25 years to the U.S. Air Force and still serves in the S.C. Air National Guard as a jet engine mechanic on F-16s.

Ethan Harris

Ethan's interest in flying began during family travels, though he didn't consider it personally until a high school discovery flight. He pursued his private license in Charlotte and then attended Oklahoma State University, earning his commercial multi-engine, single-engine, CFI, and CFII. He trained at OSU and later worked there as an instructor for 1.5 years. In his free time, Ethan enjoys sports, golf, and traveling to see new MLB and NFL stadiums, aiming to visit them all. He also attends OSU football games. With over 1000 flying hours and 650 instruction hours, he joined the Envoy Cadet program and hopes to fly for a major airline.

Keegan Miller

Keegan caught the flying bug at a young age when his Uncle introduced him to general aviation during High School. Working EMS to finance this flying habit, what was at first an interest was fostered into a passion. Keegan kept flying through college and earned his Private Pilot Certificate in 2022, the same year he graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Evolutionary Biology. Soon after college Keegan made the decision to pursue aviation as a career and achieved his Instrument Rating, Single and Multiengine Commercial Certificate, CFI, CFII, and MEI. Outside of aviation Keegan maintains a passion for spending time with his friends and family, following his App State Mountaineers football team, and varying hobbies like soccer and guitar.

Scott Cooper

Scott's passion for flying was sparked during his childhood summers traveling from South Carolina to Washington. This love led him to participate in AFJROTC's flight training as a teenager. After a detour in life, he returned to aviation in 2022, quickly earning his Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot certifications through ATP Flight School's accelerated program. By August 2024, after completing his CFI training with ACES Flight School, Scott began his instructing career, where he currently shares his enthusiasm for aviation with others.
